Hanscom ‘CEOs’ take part in professional development

Three hundred civilians, enlisted Airmen and officers participated in a virtual professional development event here Jan. 21 through 22. The Leadercast event titled “Leading Through Disruption” featured guest speakers across business, marketing and sports industries who offered participants unique perspectives into successful leadership skills.

Air Force to allow longer braids, ponytails, bangs for women

As an outcome of the 101st Air Force uniform board, Air Force women will be able to wear their hair in up to two braids or a single ponytail with bulk not exceeding the width of the head and length not extending below a horizontal line running between the top of each sleeve inseam at the under arm through the shoulder blades. In addition, women’s bangs may now touch their eyebrows, but not cover their eyes.

Cyber fellowship sparks innovative ideas

Personnel from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Digital Directorate and Detachment 12’s Kessel Run are using their recent AFVentures Cyber Fellowship experiences to promote innovation and accelerate change within their programs. Kevin Kelly, technical director for PEO Digital, Capt. Lillian Warner, Red Team lead for Cyber Security Engineering at Kessel Run, and 1st Lt. Greg Barrow, project manager for Unit Level Intelligence at Kessel Run, were among the first cyber cohort of 17 service members selected for the program. Fellows were matched to technology companies based in San Francisco; Los Angeles; Ann Arbor, Michigan; New York and Boston for a six-week virtual immersion October through November 2020.
