Hanscom personnel will participate in local Veterans Day observances honoring military service members Nov. 9 and 11.

“According to public law, Veterans Day is a ‘celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good,’” said Randy Bergeron, 66th Air Base Group historian. “How fortunate we are to be able to ‘celebrate’ the patriotism, fervent love for liberty and contributions made to our national security, which Hanscom veterans and all veterans have made.”

Hanscom will hold its annual Salute to Veterans event Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Hanscom Conference Center. The event will be hosted by the 66th Air Base Group commander and will honor retired and honorably discharged veterans. All members of Team Hanscom are invited to attend the ceremony. For more information, contact Bobby Jacques at 781-225-1333.
