Three Hanscom master sergeants selected for promotion

Master Sgt. Richard Abbott, 319th Recruiting Squadron first sergeant, is notified that he has been selected for promotion to senior master sergeant during a promotion announcement at the 66th Security Forces Squadron, his former squadron, at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., Feb. 28. Three Hanscom master sergeants were selected for promotion to senior master sergeant out of 13,054 eligible Air Force-wide. Also selected for promotion at Hanscom is Master Sgt. HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Air Force officials have selected 1,549 master sergeants, including three at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, for promotion to senior master sergeant out of 13,054 eligible for a selection rate of 11.87 percent.

The senior master sergeant promotion list is available on the Air Force’s Personnel Center website Enlisted Promotions page, the Air Force Portal and myPers. Airmen are also able to access their score notices on the virtual Military Personnel Flight via the Air Force’s Personnel Center secure applications page.

Congratulations to the following Hanscom master sergeants.

Master Sgt. Richard Abbott, 319th Recruiting Squadron first sergeant
Master Sgt. Jack Brown, Contracting Directorate Special Services superintendent
Master Sgt. Richard John, III, Battle Management Tactical Air Control Party-Modernization superintendent

Those selected for senior master sergeant will be promoted beginning April 1, according to their promotion sequence number.
