Health and Fitness Expo set for March 19

Demonstrations, classes, wellness tips and community offerings will all be a part of the Hanscom Health and Fitness Expo that is scheduled March 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fitness and Sports Center, 66th Force Support Squadron officials announced.

"We'll have a number of terrific activities, as well as lots of exhibitors and free drawings," said Steve Grant, Health and Fitness Expo event organizer.

Some of the area exhibitors that will be on hand throughout the expo, including Community Rowing, Patriot Golf Course, Whole Foods, USA Track and Field New England and the Home Base Program.

On-base exhibitors will feature the Health and Wellness Center and Civilian Health Promotion Services.

"We're really excited about all of the offerings at this year's event," said Orlagh Pawlyk, Civilian Health Promotion Services Health Promotion coordinator. "We hope the Hanscom community will come out and see what's available on base and in the surrounding area for them to live a healthier lifestyle."

Some of the planned featured classes and exhibitors are: (schedule subject to change)
- Indoor Golf coaching 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Wall climbing 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- RIPPED demo class 12 noon to 12:30 p.m.
- Zumba demo class; 12:30 to 1 p.m.
- Rowing competition 1 to 1:30 p.m.
- Warrior Fitness Training demo classes: 1:30-2 p.m.
