2/17/2010 - HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Howard Worona (far left), Hanscom Middle School music and after school music programs director, prepares for practice with students (left to right) Isaac Evans, Samantha Curry, Bailey Orr and Matthew Nicklas. These four students will represent Hanscom Middle School in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Eastern Massachusetts District Junior Music Festival, to be held Mar. 6 at the Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School. The four were selected following auditions conducted in January. The auditions included more than 1000 students from 135 public and private schools. More than 500 students in 7th through 9th grades were selected to participate in this prestigious event. (U.S. Air Force photo by Rick Berry)
