11/4/2010 - HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Hanscom Air Force Base Airman and Family Readiness Center will host a job fair on Nov. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hanscom Conference Center. Several local public and private organizations will be in attendance, hoping to fill a wide variety of occupations.
"The benefits of hosting a job fair are easier access to employment, networking opportunities for people transitioning from the military, as well as providing an opportunity for family members seeking employment," said Judy Tipton, community readiness consultant. "Employers enjoy coming to the Hanscom Job Fair because they know they will find a highly qualified, experienced and professional pool of candidates."
The job fair is open to any job seeker able to gain entrance to the base, including active duty military and their family members, Department of Defense civilian employees, along with Reserve and National Guard members and retired military from all services across New England.
