8/4/2011 - HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Hanscom Education and Training Center is sponsoring the second education fair for 2011, with the theme "Mapping Out Your Future." The fair is scheduled for Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ballroom of the Minuteman Commons, formerly the Minuteman Club.

According to the education fair organizers, many people may feel finding their way through the road map of educational goals with a purpose for learning can be a difficult task. Those that are unsure what program will best meet their needs, are not satisfied with their current education path or know what they want to do but are not sure where to go are highly encouraged to attend the fair.

Philip Jones, education center guidance counselor, suggests attendees let the professional education counselors from more than 25 different colleges and universities help devise a degree plan. The education fair will provide a convenient, single point of access to in-residence and distance learning programs currently available at local and national colleges and universities.

Colleges and universities scheduled to participate in the education fair include: American Military, Ashford University, Bellevue University, Boston University, Cambridge College, Columbia Southern University, Emmanuel College, Empire State College, ITT Technical Institute, Jones International University, Leslie University, National Graduate School of Quality Management, National University, Nichols College, North Shore Community College, Northeastern University, Park University, Rivier College, Salem State University, Southern New Hampshire University, TUI University, University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, University of Massachusetts School of Law, University of Phoenix, University-Military Programs, Wentworth Institute of Technology and Western New England University.

The education fair is open to all active duty, guard and reserve members, family members, government employees, contractors and anyone who has access to Hanscom and is interested in learning more about what local colleges have to offer.
