10/3/2012 - HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- With the stand up of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom's Acquisition Workforce Development Week will now be called AFLCMC Hanscom Focus Week. The weeklong series of training opportunities will begin Oct. 15 and runs through Oct. 19.

This quarter's courses will mainly be offered in the Hanscom Education and Training Center, Building 1728, in Classroom G, with a few exceptions.

To maximize student-instructor interaction, the course size is limited to 45. Early registration is important to guarantee a seat. Those interested may register at https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/acqnowcl/.

Focus Week organizers suggest the easiest way to find the Hanscom-led courses is to search by location. After accessing the "ACQ Now" web page, click on the "Apply for a CL Event" frame on the left side of the page and search for AFLCMC-led events located at Hanscom.

Those new to the website will need to first create a profile. Go to "Update Profile" in the navigation frame on the left, under the header "Continuous Learning CL." Users may begin searching for courses after a profile is created.

This is the first of a series of collaborative events with AFLCMC. Other opportunities are planned for future Focus Weeks, including many chances for distance learning that will enable all members of AFLCMC to share courses offered at other locations.
