HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Retired Lt. Gen. Melvin F. (Nick) Chubb, Jr., passed away July 25, 2014, after a short illness. Chubb commanded what was then the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., from August 1984 until his retirement on Oct 1, 1988.
