New roof for base theater

Antenna site relocated
HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – Contractors move sections of a radio tower by crane from a flatbed truck, to be positioned onto the roof of Building 1624 as part of the Hanscom Land Mobile Radio relocation project. New playground
HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – James Silva assembles a new playground at the Hanscom Middle School on Sept. 3. The playground is being built by the Lincoln School Committee with support from the Hanscom Parent Teacher Organization. A dedication ceremony will take place upon completion of the project and parents will be invited to attend. Open to traffic
HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – The North Bridge Road, located in Hanscom Family Housing is now open to vehicle traffic. Residents are asked to proceed carefully through this area; new stop signs have been posted at both ends of the street and a speed limit of 10 MPH will be strictly enforced. Hanscom Family Housing reminds all residents especially children to utilize the sidewalks when walking on the North Bridge Road since it is no longer a pedestrian only thoroughfare. Fitness Center Renovations
HANSCOM AFB, Mass. -- Kenny Avxhiu, from Bonomo Tile, puts new tiles down in the female showers in the Fitness and Sports Center here June 25. The renovations included the construction of a water dam. From July 1 to 12 the men’s locker room will be closed due to repairs on the shower room ceiling. Hanscom celebrates Arbor Day
HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – Students from the Hanscom Middle School joined Col. Robert Boyles, 66th Mission Support Group commander and members of the 66th Mission Support Group, Civil Engineering in celebrating Arbor Day on May 2. Pictured with the middle school students are (back row from left to right) Colonel Boyles, Virginia Clor, IAP programmer, Jim Dolan, IAP engineering manager, Chris Perkins, base civil engineer and Chief Master Sergeant Michael McCoy, 66 MSG superintendent. As part of the celebrations the group planted two trees at the Hanscom Fitness and Sports Center, an American Elm which is the State of Massachusetts tree, and a Red Oak, in honor of our National tree.
