A new mobile app provides base personnel with information about events happening on base, the most-up-to-date news, local resources and much more. iPhone users may download the "USAF Connect" app via the Apple App Store. Android users can download at Google Play. Once downloaded, users should then select "Hanscom Air Force Base" when prompted from the Favorites portal.
April professional development seminar planned
The Top 3 Council here will host a virtual professional development seminar for Airmen and civilian employees, April 23 at 10 a.m. Retired Chief Master Sgt. Bob Vásquez will share his leadership philosophy and tools to develop effective teams via Zoom. Personnel can watch the event on ZoomGov at Meeting ID: 160 233 7734 and Passcode: 679474.
AFMC leadership to host virtual town hall
Air Force Materiel Command leadership will host a command-wide virtual town hall, Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. Gen. Arnold W. Bunch, Jr., AFMC commander, Patricia M. Young, AFMC executive director, and Chief Master Sgt. Stanley C. Cadell, AFMC command chief, will discuss current topics and address questions from personnel across the command.
The live event will be hosted on the Microsoft Teams Commercial Virtual Remote platform and will be open to AFMC personnel. The link to the live session will be sent through internal email channels prior to the event. Personnel can submit questions prior to the town hall on the event page on the AFMC Facebook or through the direct link available on the homepage of the AFMC website. Pre-event submissions will be accepted until April 20.
'Warhawk Innovation Council' schedules inaugural meeting
66th Air Base Group senior leaders will host the first 'Warhawk Innovation Council' meeting May 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. Organizers encourage civilians, enlisted and officers to present ideas to Col. Katrina Stephens, 66 ABG commander, and Chief Master Sgt. William Hebb, installation command chief. All entries are due May 4.
