For base event information, visit the calendar page on the 66th Force Support Squadron's website or the internal community calendar that is only accessible with a common access card on an Air Force network computer.

Local community events can be found by visiting the Bedford, Concord, Lexington and Lincoln or the Boston and Massachusetts calendar sites.

A new mobile app provides base personnel with information about events happening on base, the most-up-to-date news, local resources and much more​. iPhone users may download the "USAF Connect" app via the Apple App Store. Android users can download at Google Play. Once downloaded, users should then select "Hanscom Air Force Base" when prompted from the Favorites portal. 

Lighten Up with the Civilian Health Promotion Services  

Healthy living and sticking to your goals can seem daunting and weigh us down, but it doesn't have to. You can lighten your load by learning small and simple steps that can lead to big changes in your health. Join Hanscom CHPS during a five-week Lighten Up course. Money & Marriage Workshop
This workshop will take place Feb. 4 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Marriage introduces a couple to many changes, including financial adjustments. Who is going to manage the bills; are you a good money manager; what are the priorities; and what are some of the questions you should be asking yourselves? Learn why it is important to discuss finances early in your marriage and how conversations about financial goals and values, as they relate to money, could prevent future conflict.

Lunch & Learn: Estate Planning
This free session will take place Feb. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Attendees will learn why people should have an estate plan and how a revocable trust can benefit your family. Lunch is provided.

Smooth Move
This workshop will take place Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. This class is designed to familiarize service members with benefits, entitlements and processes related to moves.

Education Track Workshop
This two day workshop will take place Feb. 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hanscom Education Center for transitioning service members with higher education goals. Service members pursuing college education will receive guidance to prepare for the college application process. The Education track addresses such topics as identifying one’s educations goals, education funding, and researching & comparing institutions.

Command Support Staff Sponsorship Training
This train-the-trainer workshop will take place Feb. 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. The topics include: Defense Installation Messaging System, Plan My Move, military installations, e-Sponsorship, DIMS reporting and more.

Department of Labor Employment Track Workshop
This Department of Labor two-day workshop will take place Feb. 19 and 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. The workshop offers transitioning service members and their spouses information about job search techniques, labor market information, resume and interview skills and much more.

Installation Mission & Management Briefing
This briefing will take place Feb. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. This is a mandatory briefing for Air Force military members and Department of Defense civilians newly assigned to Team Hanscom. Contractors are eligible and encouraged to attend, but not required. Information for base newcomers include safety, emergency management, inspector general, ethics and more.

Hanscom Welcome and Information Fair
Newcomers are welcome to attend the monthly Welcome and Information Fair Feb. 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Representatives from Tickets & Tours, Child and Youth Programs, school liaison specialist, Education Center, Hanscom Helping Organizations, chapel, Military Family Life Consultant, Civilian Personnel, Hanscom Federal Credit Union and more.

Hanscom Little Learner Playgroup
This free 10-week playgroup will take place every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Youth Center for mobile babies to age 5 (pre-Kindergarten) and their caregiver. There will be free-play time, activities for different age groups, and a circle time with stories, songs and rhymes. Non-mobile infant siblings may attend if “worn” in a carrier.

Any family who has access to Hanscom Air Force Base is welcome. Facilitated by Ellie Springer, M.Ed. Early Childhood.

Toastmasters Club
Advance your career and increase your confidence by developing your public speaking skills with Toastmasters. The Hanscom Researchers Toastmaster Club meets at the Hanscom Federal Credit Union on base, the second, fourth and fifth Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. All are welcome to visit.
