A new mobile app provides base personnel with information about events happening on base, the most-up-to-date news, local resources and much more. iPhone users may download the "USAF Connect" app via the Apple App Store. Android users can download at Google Play. Once downloaded, users should then select "Hanscom Air Force Base" when prompted from the Favorites portal.
Hanscom Spouses Club Welcome planned
The Hanscom Spouses Club will hold its annual welcome event Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Minuteman Commons. Military spouses of all branches, active and retired, as well as civil service spouses are welcome to attend. Attendance is free.

Base officials plan end of summer event
The 66th Force Support Squadron will host an End of Summer Festival at the Minuteman Commons Sept. 24 beginning at 4 p.m. The event will feature dart and corn-hole tournaments at the Tavern, before moving to the parking lot of the same location for food, games and a drive-in movie.

Hispanic Heritage Month Food Tasting planned Sept. 29
The Hispanic Heritage Month committee will host a free Hispanic food tasting event Sept. 29 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Chapel Annex. The event is open to all those with base access. Hispanic Heritage Month will take place Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 to recognize the contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans.
This year’s theme is “Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope.”
Hanscom Heroes Memorial Park to induct three former employees
Hanscom officials announced that three deceased former base employees will have trees planted in their honor during a ceremony Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. at Hanscom Heroes Memorial Park. Hanscom Heroes Memorial Park opened in 1991 to recognize late members of the Hanscom community.

Salute to Veterans event planned Nov. 10
Hanscom will hold its annual Salute to Veterans event Nov. 10 at 8:30 a.m. at the Hanscom Conference Center. The event will be hosted by the 66th Air Base Group commander and will honor retired and honorably discharged veterans. All members of Team Hanscom are invited to attend the ceremony.
