HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The Hanscom Health Promotions Team will host an information fair at Building 1609 here May 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Anyone with base access is invited to attend and explore resources on various health and wellness topics.

According to Amanda Hulbert, Hanscom’s Civilian Health Promotions specialist, resources support the four main pillars of overall health and well-being.

“We align our services and resources with physical, mental, social and spiritual health so members know what’s available to them for all aspects of their health,” said Hulbert.

The Civilian Health Promotions team will offer screening services for cholesterol and glucose, body-composition analysis, and skin complexion analysis using the OBSERV 520.

"The OBSERV 520 complexion screener is a 100 percent safe and painless analysis method utilizing a patented skin florescence and polarized light illumination technology to show what’s beneath the surface,” said Judi Lasser, Hanscom’s CHPS coordinator.

Images can be forwarded to individual’s personal email accounts for their use.

In addition to the information fair, the CHPS team is also available for individual and group consultations.

Lasser and Hulbert said they’re proud to help community members be their own advocates when it comes to their health.

“It’s important to take the time to find out these things about yourself so you can live as happy and healthy as you can,” said Hulbert.
