Gym construction continues
HANSCOM AFB, Mass. -- The new Fitness and Sports Center’s basketball court and running track are nearly completed. The $9.5 million project includes construction of 41,600 square feet of new space and renovation of 7,800 square feet of existing space. The fitness center will have an elevated indoor running track that encircles the new multifunctional gymnasium, along with three racquetball courts, motorized bleachers, lockers, a rock-climbing wall in the lobby, and sauna and steam rooms in the locker rooms. It will also include family fitness, group exercise, cardio equipment and free weight rooms. The facility was designed so that natural light is abundant throughout.
