HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The 66th Logistic Readiness Squadron Shipping and Receiving warehouse here is accepting non-essential inbound and outbound shipments beginning Aug. 10.

Warehouse officials have increased the hours of operation to include Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We encourage our customers to track their shipments and pick them up immediately upon arrival,” said Tim Veen, 66 LRS Deployment and Distribution Flight chief.

After the installation implemented max telework capabilities earlier this year, Veen’s team continued to receive inbound orders.

“We’d like to remind our customers about their earlier shipments, because we’ve had some items in the warehouse since April,” said Veen. “With most of the base teleworking, we haven’t been able to deliver most items, but we need the extra space for the end of year.”

As the end of the fiscal year approaches, Veen and his team are preparing   for an inundation of incoming shipments.

“We appreciate the community working with us, and hope they know that although we’re under a strain, we’re working to support their missions as best we can,” said Veen.

To coordinate pick-up or delivery of inbound shipments at Building 1110, customers should email 66lrs.lgrddc.cargo@us.af.mil or call 781-225-5838 during the above business hours.
