Winning Salary Negotiation workshop
The Military and Family Readiness Center will host a Winning Salary Negotiation workshop March 21 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in building 1240. This two-hour workshop, taught by a certified career coach, will expose attendees to negotiating skills yielding top-of-range beginning salary & benefits.

The 66th Medical Squadron will host an open-forum discussion to improve provider-patient communication and voice general concerns, March 21 at 1 p.m. in building 1900. The forum will also be streamed via Zoom.
Newcomers In-Processing Briefing
Base officials will host a briefing for newly arrived active duty Air Force and civilian personnel March 22 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in building 1240.
Attendees are asked to attend in-person, to include those on situational telework agreements. This meeting will provide information for Hanscom AFB newcomers on a variety of topics, including safety, Emergency Management, housing, the Inspector General Program, non-appropriated fund Human Resources and more. A mandatory voting assistance program briefing will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a hard copy of their in-processing checklist. Virtual attendance option is available only for geographically separated members and individuals with remote telework agreements. Spouses are welcome to attend.

Bundles for Babies Expectant Parent workshop
The Military and Family Readiness Center will host workshop March 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The expectant parent workshop is open to soon-to-be parents or adoptive parents of infants. Both parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Attendees will learn about car seat safety, budgeting for baby, TRICARE coverage, dental care, base/community resources, SIDS, Shaken Baby Syndrome, breastfeeding, couple-hood to parenthood and much more. Hanscom leadership to host Facebook Live from Auto Hobby Shop
Colonel Taona Enriquez, installation commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Alan Weary, installation command chief, will host a Facebook Live on Friday, March 24 beginning at 11 a.m. from the Auto Hobby Shop. This session will stream via Facebook Live at www.Facebook.com/HanscomAirForceBase/.
During the session, installation leadership will provide an update to services provided by the Auto Hobby Shop.
Free U.S. Air Force Band concerts planned
The United States Air Force Band from Washington, D.C. will perform concerts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in March. The tour includes stops in Springfield, Mass., March 26; Duxbury, Mass., March 27; Plaistow, N.H., March 28; Reading, Mass., March 29; and Worcester, Mass., March 30. Month of the Military Child Parade scheduled
Base officials will host a Month of the Military Child parade throughout family housing March 31 beginning at 3:30 p.m. Each year, Hanscom AFB look to April as an important month for children who have one or both parents or guardians serving in uniform.
First established in 1986 by Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, Month of the Military Child is a month-long observance acknowledging the important role military children play in the military family. The month is a nationally-recognized celebration honoring military service members’ children.

The Military and Family Readiness Center will host this class April 4 from 9 a.m. to noon in building 1240. A virtual option will be available for those unable to attend in person. 9-Hole Golf Scramble Tournament
The 66th Force Support Squadron will host a 9-hold scramble tournament at the Patriot Golf Course on Friday, April 7 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Scramble format involves 4-person teams where each player hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like better. The players then play from that ball. The other 3 balls that were not selected are picked up. All players then play a shot from the selected ball, and again pick which shot they like better. This continues until the hole out. Effectively, the 4-person team will have 1 collective score. The team with the best score wins!
Teams should consist of four members. There is a fee of $20 per player to participate which includes greens fees, electric carts, and light refreshments. The winning team will receive a free beverage of choice at the Tavern during First Friday, following the tournament.
Teams should submit names to adam.sumait.1@us.af.mil no later than April 4 to participate.
Easter Egg Hunt planned
The Hanscom Chapel will host an Easter Egg Hunt April 8 outside the chapel for children ages 2 to 10 years old. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the hunt beginning at 10:30 a.m. The event will include prizes, crafts and food.
