A new mobile app provides base personnel with information about events happening on base, the most-up-to-date news, local resources and much more​. iPhone users may download the "USAF Connect" app via the Apple App Store. Android users can download at Google Play. Once downloaded, users should then select "Hanscom Air Force Base" when prompted from the Favorites portal. 

 

Leading with Honor: Leadership Lessons from the Hanoi Hilton
On May 22, retired U.S. Air Force Col. Lee Ellis, author of "Leading with Honor: Leadership Lessons from Hanoi Hilton," will share invaluable insights from his book through three presentations. The first session, tailored for lieutenant colonels, GS-14s, and above, will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Hanscom Conference Center. Following this, a session for all members of Team Hanscom will run from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the same location.

Additionally, there will be a lunch event at the Minuteman Commons, exclusively for Airmen and federal civilians with four years or less of experience. Pre-registration for the lunch is required. Civilian hiring event May 23 to provide meaningful career opportunities
Air Force officials will host an in-person hiring event May 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheraton Boston Needham Hotel, 100 Cabot Street, Needham, Massachusetts, to fill more than 130 positions at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.

Officials encourage those interested to pre-register to receive updates tailored to interests, career fields of choice, background, and preferred location. For specific information related to Hanscom AFB, choose “MA-Boston area” from the location tab.

 

Toastmasters Club
Improve your relationships by developing communication, public speaking, evaluation and leadership skills with Toastmasters. The Hanscom Toastmasters club meets via Zoom on the first, second, fourth and fifth Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. All are welcome to participate.
