Public comments invited for Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan at Hanscom AFB

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. The Department of the Air Force announces the availability of a draft Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan, which describes the existing natural resources and proposed course of management on Hanscom AFB and its geographically separated units.

The draft INRMP, prepared in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, will guide natural resources management on the installation using the principles of ecosystem-based and adaptive management while ensuring the installation’s ongoing ability to support the military mission, in accordance with Department of the Air Force policy and the Sikes Act.

The public is invited to review and provide comments on the Draft INRMP from May 2 to June 1.

Copies of the draft INRMP are available for download.

Hanscom AFB’s 66th Civil Engineering Division officials recommend individuals without internet access visit a local library or town hall for assistance in downloading the document. Requests for hard copies will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Public comments on the Draft INRMP will be accepted through June 1 and should be emailed to CEMML_inrmpcomments@colostate.edu.
