Are you bored with your exercise program? Are you achieving the results you want? Or, are you unclear as to where to begin? The Health and Wellness Center has a class designed to answer these questions and more.

"Fitness Fundamentals" provides an overview of how to set up an exercise program and ensures participants understand the training principles involved in sound exercise design. Instructed by the 66th Medical Squadron Exercise Physiologist, Dale Bennett, the class is offered on a monthly basis and is not just targeted at beginning exercisers, but also those that are looking to ensure their valuable time is spent on a program that will work.

"Very often I see individuals who have great intentions but their program design is not appropriate for their goals," said Bennett. "Helping people develop a program that will meet their training objectives now, and in the future, is the goal."

This program is designed to answer all those questions and also dispel myths regarding exercise. Fitness Fundamentals is a classroom based session which provides the information in a friendly and flexible environment. While the class has a particular focus and framework, the best part about the class is the participants. The participation from those in attendance is frequently a catalyst for a great conversation that results is some valuable knowledge for everyone.

The next "Fitness Fundamentals" class will be held Dec. 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. The class is held in the HAWC classroom, Building 1540. Pre-registration is requested, anyone interested may contact the HAWC at 66.mds.hawc@hanscom.af.mil or 781-225-6374.
