Senior leaders present Team Hanscom awards Published Feb. 16, 2018 By Mark Wyatt 66th Air Base Group Public Affairs HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Base officials here announced the winners of the Team Hanscom Annual Awards during a banquet at the Minuteman Commons Feb. 15. The awards program recognizes active duty Air Force officers, enlisted, individual mobilization augmentees and federal civilian employees. “This base is amazing. Hanscom Air Force Base does not operate without this entire team that you see here before you,” said Col. Roman L. Hund, installation commander. “We all come together to make this base work. It is a small base, but a lot of mission going on here. We’re supporting and doing things across the Air Force and across New England.” The guest speaker for the event was Chief Master Sgt. Scott Pepper, 66th Security Forces Squadron manager. “I would venture to say all of you, nominees, are surrounded with stellar teams,” he said. “Today you are here representing them, representing the team. Remember, we do not win individually, we win as a team.” The winners received their awards from Hund and Pepper, who was standing in for Chief Master Sgt. Henry L.
