HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The 2020 Combined Federal Campaign will begin Oct. 1 with local organizers setting a goal to make 100 percent contact with military and civilian federal employees here.

This year’s CFC drive will continue through Nov. 2. The theme is “Show Some Love: Be the Face of Change.”

“We are excited to bring this year’s CFC Campaign to Hanscom. This is our opportunity to make a significant impact on our local community and the organizations we are passionate about,” said Capt. Benjamin Persian, installation lead organizer.

Hanscom, along with other federal organizations in the region such as the National Park Service and U.S. Postal Service, are part of the New England CFC. Information on how to donate this year can be found at https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome.

“Your efforts will contribute to those in need; there’s truly no better time to ‘show some love’ together, we can ‘be the face of change,’” said Tech. Sgt. Talisa Bell, Hanscom CFC campaign organizer.

Federal employees may choose to deduct a certain amount from each paycheck, give a one-time donation via credit card or check or pledge volunteer hours.

“Even the smallest donation can have a large impact. I encourage all members of Team Hanscom to contribute as they are able, either as a volunteer or as a donator,” said Persian.

The CFC has raised more than $8.4 billion for charitable organizations since 1961, remaining among the largest workplace giving campaigns in the world.
