Drilling locations include Hanscom AFB, Hanscom Field, and nearby areas in the Towns of Bedford and Lexington. The work will take place from 7a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays starting Sept. 8 and continuing through approximately Nov. 21.
The soil boring activities will be performed by drilling with a rotosonic drill rig and a direct push rig to collect soil and groundwater samples. The drill rigs will generate a periodic hammering sound as the steel casing is driven into the ground.
