Did you know that 86% of Airmen between the ages 18-34 identify as gamers? Hanscom AF Gaming is seeking volunteer support for various tournaments and events. Not all assignments are “competitive” as we also have many casual events that focus on connection, camaraderie and shared interests.
Tavern Tournaments
Date: varies (email for more info)
We host small- to mid-scale tournaments at the on-base Tavern at the Minuteman Commons (bldg. 1425). Volunteers can help event leads coordinate on-site registrations, account creation, rollcall, matchmaking, score reporting, bracket management, hardware support, software support and customer service.
Tabletop Knights
Date(s): Every last Friday of the month (varies around major holidays)
Join our monthly board game club to teach, learn and play some of the best board games around! Think games like Harmonies, Thunder Road Vendetta, Eldritch Horror or Catan. Volunteers can help event leads coordinate game setup, game teach (if/when appropriate), breakdown, and customer service.
Information and Outreach Events
Date: varies (email for more info)
Our inclusive community of competitive and casual gamers is constantly growing. Help support that effort! We do outreach booths and swag giveaways at most large base events (HansCOMICON, Summer Bash, etc.) as well as briefings at Military & Family Readiness Center, Hanscom Chapel and Dorm Council. Volunteers can help event leads with staffing booths, setup, breakdown, and customer service.
