Volunteers needed for Chapel garden project
The Hanscom Chapel is calling on members of Team Hanscom to help bring new life to its community garden during a weeklong volunteer event, June 10-13. Volunteers are needed to assist with landscaping and renovations that will transform the space into a welcoming environment for all to enjoy.

Work will take place in two daily shifts: 8 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Volunteers should wear clothes and shoes suitable for getting dirty. Refreshments and food will be provided.

LEAP application window open through July 18
The application window for the Language Enabled Airman Program, or LEAP, is open through July 18.

The Hanscom AFB LEAP Chapter will host its quarterly meetup June 13 at 2 p.m. in the 66th Comptroller Squadron conference room. Organizers encourage current and prospective applicants to attend and connect with fellow LEAP members. The chapter is also seeking current LEAP members to help review applicant narratives and packages.

Hanscom AFB to host blood drive June 24
Team Hanscom members are invited to participate in a blood drive scheduled for June 24 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hanscom Air Force Base Chapel. The drive is in partnership with the 66th Medical Squadron.

Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance using the QR code provided in the official event graphic.

Blood drives like this help save lives and ensure a stable supply for those in need, directly supporting both military readiness and community health. All eligible donors are welcome to take part in this vital effort.

The Hanscom AFB Main Exchange has announced the food truck schedule for this week. 

Summer Bash volunteers needed
The 66th Air Base Group is seeking volunteers to help make this year’s Summer Bash a success. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 13 at the Hanscom Chapel, with a rain date of June 18.

Volunteers are needed for various roles, including set-up, serving Italian ice and drinks, supervising kids’ activities, managing trash, assisting with traffic safety, and helping with event break-down. Shifts are flexible, allowing volunteers to enjoy the event while lending a hand.

Those interested should email 2nd Lt Ashley Vazquez at ashley.vazquez.3@us.af.mil with their name, cell number, preferred roles, and availability. All volunteers will receive a free Summer Bash shirt as a thank you.
