Balanced Life Series to focus on stress management, resilience
The Integrated Resilience Office in collaboration with Blue Cross Blue Shield will host a three-part Balanced Life Series this fall to help members of the Team Hanscom community manage stress while supporting mental and physical health.
The series will offer practical strategies to reduce stress, improve nutrition, stay active, and build resilience. Each session will take place from 12 to 12:45 p.m.

Organizers encourage participants to attend one or all of the sessions to gain tools for improving overall well-being.

Ditching the Dorms workshop set for Dec. 3
Dorm residents can learn how to prepare for the financial responsibilities of moving off base during a Ditching the Dorms workshop Dec. 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Community Support Center in Building 1240. The session will cover spend plans, basic allowance for housing rates, moving costs, and tips for selecting a new place to live.

Interview skills workshop offered Dec. 3
A workshop designed to help participants strengthen their interviewing skills will take place Dec. 3 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Community Support Center, Building 1240. The session will provide insight into interview types, recommended questions to ask, and strategies to stand out during the hiring process.

2025 AFA Paul Revere Chapter Holiday Gala Dec. 5
Following the success of last year's Holiday Gala, we are once again raising funds to support our annual AFA Holiday Part for Homeless Veterans at the Lowell Veterans Community Center. The Veteran's Holiday Party will be held mid-December at the Lowell VFW, and is a bright spot for many homeless and hospitalized veterans of all ages. So bring your holiday spirit and help us make it a most memorable night - not only for those in attendance, but in remembrance for those who have served. Head to our website for more info.

Trees for Soldiers event planned Dec. 11
Team Hanscom families can pick up a free holiday tree during the annual “Trees for Soldiers” event Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Commissary parking lot.
Made possible through the support of Operation Service, the Massachusetts National Guard, the Warhawk First Sergeant Council and other community partners, the event provides no-cost Christmas trees to service members and their families as a show of appreciation for their service. Organizers encourage early arrival, as supplies are limited.

Expectant parent workshop scheduled Dec. 18
The Community Support Center will host a Bundles for Babies workshop for expectant and adoptive parents Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Building 1240.
The course covers car seat safety, budgeting, TRICARE benefits, dental care, breastfeeding, and community resources. The Air Force Aid Society sponsors the seminar, which is open to all service branches. Eligible participants from the Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, and Space Force will receive an electronic monetary gift. Active duty Army and civilian families will receive a goodie bag.
