Free OSHA heat stress course offered for federal civilian employees
The 66th Air Base Group Safety Office, in partnership with the Education Center, will host a one-day OSHA course focused on “Heat Stress and Strain in the Work Environment” at the Education Center July 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This in-person class will cover the physiological effects of heat, risk assessments, workplace controls, and the latest industry standards. The course aligns with the 101 Critical Days of Summer safety campaign and is free to attend, but limited to Department of Defense civilian employees only due to funding restrictions. Class size is limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Food truck schedule this week
The Hanscom AFB Main Exchange has announced the food truck schedule for this week. 

LEAP application window open through July 18
The application window for the Language Enabled Airman Program, or LEAP, is open through July 18.

The Hanscom AFB LEAP Chapter will host its quarterly meetup June 13 at 2 p.m. in the 66th Comptroller Squadron conference room. Organizers encourage current and prospective applicants to attend and connect with fellow LEAP members. The chapter is also seeking current LEAP members to help review applicant narratives and packages.
