HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Air Force special tactics recruiters will be at the Education and Training Center here Nov. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. to meet with anyone interested in cross training into the special tactics career field.

“These recruiters are looking for motivated enlisted and officers interested in combat control, tactical air control party, special operations weather, pararescue, special tactics officer and combat rescue officer career fields,” said Master Sgt. John Fisher, Hanscom career assistance advisor. “Interested Airmen who are prepared to dedicate themselves to the special tactics mission of integrating air and ground forces for mission success should consider attending.”

Special tactics Airmen are the Air Force’s ground special operations force, enabling air power on the special operations battlefield and to mission sets.

“They are some of the U.S. military’s best-trained individuals, often qualified in military freefall, airborne static line, combat dive, heavy weapons and tactical maneuvers to integrate with U.S. Navy SEALs, U.S Army Rangers and other special operations forces,” said Fisher.

All those interested, or those supervisors with Airmen who are interested, are encouraged to attend.
