The Boston-based band Dalton & the Sheriffs will perform live during the event. Other free events include large, inflatables for all ages, as well as balloon animals, face painting, temporary tattoos and much more. “We’re also excited to have mobile trucks on site offering free access to a Mobile Zombie Paintball Range, a Buried Alive Haunted Attraction and an Escape the Room challenge for Block Party attendees to test themselves,” Cann said. Additional highlights include private organizations and vendors on site selling refreshments and other beverage options for those eligible. “This year’s community event merges the annual base picnic for employees and other similar base-wide community events into one large activity for all of Team Hanscom to participate in,” Cann said. “We encourage base employees who live off the installation to stop by for free food and enjoy some of the fun before they go home. We encourage anyone living on base to enjoy a great night of coming together as a Hanscom Air Force Base community.” Additional events planned June 15 include a free Battle Road 10K Run/Walk and opportunity to learn about the many summer programs offered by the 66th Force Support Squadron. The Battle Road 10K Run/Walk starts at 9 a.m. at the Fitness Center, which follows the trail that launched the American Revolution. And all members of Team Hanscom are invited to the Fitness Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn about FSS programs, events, trips, lessons, jobs, cruises and much more available throughout the summer months.
