HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Ten financial managers from Air Force Life Cycle Management Center-Hanscom earned annual awards for keeping the books on weapons system acquisitions and Foreign Military Sales this year. Center officials announced the awards during the sixth annual ceremony, on base, August 29.
Two individuals won in the “big-5” categories. Taylor Ketterer, a palace acquire intern assigned to the Battle Management directorate won the William Kugel trainee of the year award and Capt. Ian Cordell, a Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks deputy chief of cost analysis, won company grade officer of the year. Additionally, Sarah Flaherty, the Battle Management directorate’s mission planning FMS budget chief, picked up senior FMS analyst of the year.
“This is just proof that hard work pays off,” said Flaherty, who also serves as president of the local chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers. “Events like these are an opportunity to show how much FMS strengthens national security. My team keeps mission planning software up-to-date for some of our closest allies, and that allows us to work better during exercises and real-world missions.”
