HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Registration is ongoing for the spring Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Focus Week, and while some tried-and-true courses are back, there are some new offerings as well.

This quarter, Focus Week takes place April 22 to 26.

Organizers say the weeks help create and maintain a strong learning culture. While some courses give employees a chance to improve upon knowledge in their area of expertise, others help them improve so-called soft skills. As usual, some classes will be held locally while others will be through distance learning via Defense Collaboration Services, or DCS.

One of the courses at Hanscom during this session is “FedRAMP Role in DoD Cloud Authorization.” The course will provide an overview of FedRAMP capabilities, along with what is included in an approval to use a commercial cloud offering to host Department of Defense data.

Hanscom will also host numerous logistics courses during the week, ranging from ones such as “Cooperative Logistics Supply Support Arrangements” and “Depot Source of Repair Introduction” to classes on professional development, writing resumes and how to interview.

Engineering professionals can take part in a distance learning course that focuses on career and leadership development. Other distance courses include “In All We Do: The Ethics of Excellence,” which is described as a reminder of what we signed up for and ways to be and/or renew the excellence in all we do, and “Work/Life Balance - The Never Ending Pursuit.”

Some of the distance learning “tried-and-true” courses offered once again this session are “AFMC Role in Capability Requirements,” “EZSource Overview,” and “Technical Evaluation Training.”

Attendees in many of the courses can earn continuous learning points.

The entire Focus Week schedule is available on the Acquisition Now Continuous Learning website at https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/acqnowcl/. Logon with your CAC, then click on “Apply for a CL event” and search for AFLCMC Focus Week in the event provider to view the courses and/or register. The catalog of courses is also available on the AFLCMC Focus Week SharePoint site here.

Organizers encourage employees to take advantage of the many offerings.
