HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The Air Force Civilian Service will host Air Force Life Cycle Management Center hiring events for Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, and Detachment 12 in Boston, July 30-31 and August 1-2 respectively.
Hanscom acquires critical warfighting systems for the Air Force and other services. These systems provide the connectivity for and between our warfighters with items such as radar, communication and intelligence systems, command and operations centers and network infrastructure and cyber defense.
While the positions at Hanscom span numerous career areas, the ones for Detachment 12 are specifically for their Kessel Run organization and focus on software. The openings at Hanscom are in program management, science and engineering, financial management, logistics, contracting, information technology, information protection, computer science and skilled trades, medical and support.
“The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is excited for both opportunities to identify highly qualified professionals to join our workforce,” said Sherri Artuso, the Center’s director of Personnel.
The Hanscom hiring event will take place both days at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston-Bedford, 44 Middlesex Turnpike, Bedford, Mass., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 30 will be a “by invite” day while July 31 is an open session. Pre-registration is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, of legal working age and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Organizers indicate subject matter experts will be on-site to review resumes and qualifications of candidates. A limited number of on-the-spot interviews and job offers may be made.
Detachment 12’s Kessel Run moves Air Force software projects from concept to deployment in rapid succession. Positions available in Detachment 12 include cloud architect, cloud designer, cloud service expert, product designer, product developer and product manager. That hiring event is “by invitation only” and registration is required.
