WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The Life Cycle Industry Days event, co-hosted by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and the Dayton Development Coalition, has been cancelled for 2020 due to the ongoing national response to the COVID-19 virus.
The event, which included Industry Pitch Days, was scheduled for the week of June 15 at the Dayton Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio.
“It’s regrettable, but the prudent thing to do,” said Lt. Gen. Robert McMurry, AFLCMC commander. “First and foremost, we have to be certain we are doing all we can to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and keep people safe. Given the uncertainties, we do not want to make additional, significant financial commitments for the June event.”
Once travel restrictions are lifted, organizers said they look forward to alternate venues for government-industry collaboration.
“We are going to focus our effort to come back even bigger with LCID 2021,” McMurry said. “That will let us continue the tradition that makes LCID a first-class dialogue between government, industry, academia and the military.”
