HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The First Sergeants Council announced the winners of the 31-day ‘Run-Walk’ challenge here June 4.

“The intent was to get Team Hanscom thinking about fitness again, while improving everyone’s mental health,” said Master Sgt. Anthony Poulin, organizer for the event. “By the end, Team Hanscom had essentially run from Hanscom to Seattle, Washington.”
The top male, female and youth participants are:

Poulin lauded the event as a success, and said the First Sergeant Council is planning to host similar events in the future, with the added option of cycling.
“I really enjoyed how this challenge brought the first sergeants and the community together,” said Poulin. “When I saw one of my teammates had gone for a long run, I was inspired to go out as well. It was a great way to motivate each other.”
