HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Federal employees have until Dec. 11 to contribute to this year’s Combined Federal Campaign here.
As of Dec. 1, $30,000 has been raised toward the Hanscom AFB monetary goal of $75,000. The official solicitation period ends Jan. 15, 2022.
Among the many charities federal employees may choose to donate to is the Friends of Family Services, a 501 (c)(3) private organization that provides services to military members, their families and federal civilians in the Hanscom community.
Donations to this organization help support the Hanscom community by providing gift baskets for families with new babies, Hearts Apart events and more, according to Nancy Budenas, Friends of Family Services board member.
The code for Friends of Family Services is 33931.
“Many other worthy charitable organizations can be searched at https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome,” said Master Sgt. Jeremi Isaacs, a co-coordinator for Hanscom’s campaign.
Employees have the option to give a one-time donation via credit card or check, deduct a certain amount from each paycheck or pledge volunteer hours.
Those interested in giving may also do so via the “CFC Giving” mobile app. iPhone users can download the app via the Apple App Store or Android users can download at Google Play.
Hanscom, along with other federal organizations in the region, are part of the New England CFC. Learn more at https://newenglandcfc.givecfc.org/.
The CFC is administered by the Office of Personnel Management and is the official workplace giving campaign for federal employees and retirees. This year, the CFC celebrates its 60th anniversary.
