HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – In celebration of the U.S. Air Force’s 75th birthday, the 66th Air Base Group will host an Air Force ball at the Boston Marriott Burlington hotel, Sept. 16.
The theme of this year’s ball is “Innovate, Accelerate, Thrive - The Air Force at 75.”
The guest speaker is Brig. Gen. Virginia Gaglio, Massachusetts National Guard Air Component commander.
“We’re one team, one fight,” said Capt. Zacchaeus McEwen, Air Force Ball Committee co-chair. “It takes all components - military, civilians and contractors - to accomplish the mission. Hanscom’s motto is ‘Revolutionizing the Warfighter’s Edge’ and we all take part in that.”
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a reception, followed by dinner, Gaglio’s remarks, dancing and end at 11 p.m.
Attire for military members is mess dress or semi-formal. Civilian guests may wear black tie or business suit attire.
The cost to attend is:
$40 for E-1 to E4, GS-1 to GS-7 and NAF 1-3
$65 for E-5 and E-6, GS-9 to GS-12, company grade officers and NH-02 and above
$75 for E-7 to E-9, field grade officers, GS-13 and above and O-6 and above
