HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Base officials will host a Senior NCO Induction Ceremony Sept. 30 at the Crowne Plaza Boston in Woburn, Massachusetts, to recognize those selected for promotion to master sergeant.
The event is the culmination of a four-day class the promoting technical sergeants will participate in, called the Senior NCO Professional Enhancement Course.
“The ceremony will formally recognize Airmen as they make the transition from NCO to the senior NCO corps,” said Master Sgt. Michael Kennedy, 66th Air Base Group career assistance advisor. “It will also provide family members, peers and senior leaders an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishment with the Air Force’s newest master sergeants.”
Chief Master Sgt. Alan Weary, 66th Air Base Group and Hanscom AFB command chief, is the guest speaker.
Inductees are from Hanscom AFB and geographically separated units throughout the region.
A buffet-style meal consisting of garden salad, tortellini salad, London broil, chicken picatta, vegetables, roasted potatoes, rolls, and assorted desserts with coffee and/or tea will be served. The cost is $45 per person.
A social begins at 6 p.m. and the formal ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. Attire for the evening is mess dress or semi-formal for military and business or semi-formal for civilians.
