While power restored to some facilities, others remain closed at this time

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Base officials were able to restore power to privatized housing, the primary and middle schools, Commissary for non-perishable goods, chapel and School Age Program here overnight Sept. 23.

Civil engineers are continuing work to resolve the outage to other facilities on the installation. No timetable has been given when power will be restored.

The following facilities remain closed at this time:

66th Medical Squadron facilities (all clinics and pharmacy)

Aero Club

Auto Skills Center

Child Development Center

Conference Center

Education and Training Center

Fitness and Sports Center

Hanscom Lanes

Hanscom Pool

Information Learning Center

Military & Family Readiness Center

Military Personnel

Minuteman Commons

Outdoor Recreation Center

Tavern

Tickets & Tours

Pizza Mia

Dunkin Donuts

Subway

Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Express Mart

Officials encourage calling ahead before visiting any facility on the installation.

Units should implement their COOP plans and continue encouraging supervisors to maximize teleworking.

Officials encourage those who live and work on base to continue monitoring Hanscom’s public website, social media pages or the COLD line (781-225-2653) for additional updates.

Personnel can also receive updates via Hanscom’s AF Connect mobile app.

iPhone users may download the app via the Apple App Store. Android users can download at Google Play. Once downloaded, users should then select Hanscom Air Force Base when prompted from the Favorites portal. Once selected, users can then swipe left from the U.S. Air Force Connect home screen to see the Hanscom AFB platform.
