School Notes Published Aug. 25, 2011 HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Hanscom Primary and Middle schools are part of the Lincoln Public School District and students in grades 9-12 attend Bedford High School, part of the Bedford Public School District. The school calendars will vary. Hanscom Primary School Registration (K through 3) Families who have a rough arrival date should call 781-274-7721 or email winchesterg@lincnet.org to let the school know of arrival. To attend HMS, children must be residents in base housing or Temporary Living Facility. In Person Registration Families who have already arrived on base may call, email or visit the school during the secretary's office hours to register a child. Summer 2013 hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The office will be closed Aug. 14 through 20. Registration Requirements In order to register a child, parents must bring a copy of: - Birth certificate or passport - Proof of immunizations - School records, if available - Copy of Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Accommodation Plan, if applicable Meet and Greet the Teachers Classroom lists are posted for Grades 1 through 3 at 1 p.m. on Aug. 29. Summer at Bedford High School BHS office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Families can always call to make sure someone will be available before they visit by calling 781-275-1700, ext. 1111, ext. 1115 or ext. 1116. Registration Information Information about registration, including forms, is available at www.bedford.k12.ma.us/images/stories/pdfs/regforms/enrollmentpackage-bhs.pdf. A registration packet with all the forms is also available in the BHS office. Once all the completed registration forms and required information is turned in to the registrar, Mrs. Venuti will enroll the student in BHS. After enrollment someone will contact the student to set up an appointment to meet with a guidance counselor and make course selections.
