New caterer coming to commons

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. --  The 66th Force Support Squadron announced June 19 a new partnership with Il Forno Restaurants who will soon begin food service and the catering operation later this summer in the Minuteman Commons.

Il Forno will offer grab-and-go style meals as well as provide meal service in the Tavern. Customers will be invited to eat in the Tavern, Den or take-out. Hours of operation and menus will be posted on www.hanscomservices.com in the coming weeks.

"Il Forno is excited to become a part of the Hanscom community," said Carlene Bailey, Il Forno caterer manager. "We look forward to serving the community and introducing them to what makes our family of restaurants special: the food."

In addition to quick food options, the company will offer full service to organizations and individuals who want to host a catered event at the commons.

"What excites us about Il Forno is their energy, their expertise and their ability to provide food service support, from small business lunches to big events and functions," said Vic Hayes, 66th Force Support Squadron director. "Il Forno will truly complement the services available for our Hanscom community."

Il Forno Catering Services has been in operation since 1992.

"Our catering service is an extension of our family of restaurants," said Bailey. "Whatever the occasion you're planning, we can guide you and your menu selection and help you determine the type of service for your special event. We are ready to customize any menu to fit your specific needs and budget."

With more than 20 years of experience on a wide range of events, Il Forno Catering Service can accommodate any size group from intimate parties of 10 to even larger events.
