Clinic offers elective enrollment period

The 66th Medical Squadron clinic is offering an elective enrollment period for beneficiaries.

Squadron officials note that although they are committed to ensuring patients receive the first-class healthcare they deserve, unfortunately, recent occurrences will directly impact the number of daily appointments available in family health and pediatrics.

Staff members say they are dedicated to minimizing this impact, but understand the beneficiaries' expectation for timely access to the clinic may not be met.

During the elective enrollment time, any active duty family member, retiree or retiree family member currently enrolled to the Hanscom Clinic may instead enroll with a local TRICARE Prime provider or Uniformed Services Family Health Plan provider.

Anyone considering changing enrollment can obtain more information on TRICARE Prime providers in their area by calling 1-877-TRICARE, logging on to Health Net Federal Services at www.hnfs.com or visiting the TRICARE Service Center.

For those that elect to enroll with a TRICARE Prime provider in the community, TRICARE representatives can assist with transferring enrollment over the phone or online. A visit to the TRICARE Service Center is not required.

To learn more about US Family Health Plan options, call 1-800-748-7347 or log on to www.usfhp.com. Officials also note that beneficiaries enrolling with US Family Health Plan are not eligible to fill prescriptions at the Hanscom Pharmacy.
