The base will host this year's Holocaust Days of Remembrance observance April 8 through 12.

Edgar Krasa, a Holocaust survivor, will share his life story with the community on April 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Concord Room of the Hanscom Conference Center.

Committee members note that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from a man who has dedicated his life to educating people, young and old, through his personal story of survival through the Holocaust.

During the week, the Holocaust committee will also be sponsoring a paper clip campaign that is both historically linked to the Holocaust and geared today toward an anti-bullying campaign.

A paper clip became a passive, defiant stand against the atrocities in Nazi Germany. Norwegians would wear a paper clip on their lapel as a symbol of defiance and as a silent protest against the biggest bully of all--Hitler. During the week of the Holocaust remembrance, a challenge is being issued. People can wear a paper clip on their shirt as a silent protest against all intolerance, past and present.
