Military Personnel Data System to undergo upgrades Published Sept. 6, 2012 Military Personnel Section HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- This December the Air Force will upgrade the Military Personnel Data System, or MilPDS, and transfer it to Defense Information Systems Agency's Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DISA DECC). To accomplish this, MilPDS will be unavailable for approximately 23 days for the upgrade and transfer. Personnel should plan ahead as some actions or applications may need to be input earlier than usual. In addition, some non-critical pay-affecting updates will be performed post-upgrade. The Air Force goal is to input as much as possible before MilPDS goes down. Airmen should use the following chart to help in decision making. The Hanscom Military Personnel Section will be conducting a webinar on Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. Hanscom personnel may join the webinar by following the link at https://connect.dco.dod.mil/hanscommilpdsupgrade. The MPS will also hold briefings at the base theater on Sept. 10 and 13 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Anyone interested in learning more may attend. For more information, contact the MPS at 781-225-1438 or 781-225-1471.
