Applications for scholarships now being accepted Published June 6, 2012 66th Force Support Squadron HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Air Force Services Club Membership Scholarship Program is currently accepting a one-page essay of 500 words or less on the topic, "What do the words to 'America the Beautiful' mean to me?" A total of 25 winners will be selected and each will receive $1,000. Eligible club members and their families are encouraged to compete for the funds through the themed essay entry. Current Air Force members and their family members who have been accepted by or are enrolled in an accredited college or university for entry during the fall of 2012 term as a part- or full-time student are eligible to enter. Details specified in the official 2012 Air Force Clubs Membership Scholarship entry from are available and can be reviewed at the Minuteman Commons, Fitness and Sports Center, Airman and Family Readiness Center and Youth Center. Other rules and eligibility restrictions do apply. In addition, applicants must provide a copy of their college or university acceptance letter or latest transcripts. Student enrollment status may involve either undergraduate or graduate curriculum. Completed essay packages must be submitted on a CD by July 2 to the 66th Force Support Squadron Marketing and Sponsorship Office in Building 1305 on the second floor. Final scholarship awards will be announced Sept. 17, 2012. Last year, 25 winners were selected from a total of 105 submissions.
