ELDP call for nominations

The Department of Defense is accepting nominations for the Executive Leadership Development Program. The ELDP is a new approach to training civilian employees by including military participants and interagency partners that parallel certain aspects of selected military training. These shared experiences enrich both military and civilian participants who are being groomed for further leadership roles.
 
The program is seeking highly-motivated, active duty officers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership ability, commitment to public service, integrity and who have an interest in moving into senior management positions.

Military participants selected will remain in their current positions during the program, with the exception of 95 days throughout the year when they participate in intensive training, briefings and field trips. Participants must commit themselves to spending extensive amounts of their time on reading assignments, analyzing problems and preparing goal presentations.

Applicants must be the rank of major or major select and have completed Squadron Officer School, Intermediate Developmental Education either in-residence or by correspondence or seminar and successfully occupied a flight-level or higher command position.
