Gourmet dinner at the club

Limited tickets are available for an evening of gourmet dining at Hanscom's Minuteman Club Feb. 5, hosted by Electronic Systems Center Commander Lt. Gen. Ted Bowlds and his wife, Marcia.

The gourmet meal, featuring five courses, each paired with an appropriate wine, will be prepared by Robert Donovan, the Minuteman Club's new chef. Sixty seats have been reserved for the event. Cost is $60 per person.

Following a short social period beginning at 6 p.m., dinner guests will be seated for the first course, artichoke parmesan soup. A course of mussel paella comes next, followed by a layered Mediterranean salad. The main course consists of Moroccan rack of Lamb, served with couscous, sautéed spinach with lemons and olives and roasted winter vegetables. Topping off the meal will be dessert of hazelnut biscotti with chili chocolate soup.

A sommelier, or wine steward, will be on hand throughout the evening with wine pairings that complement each course.

Anyone interested in attending the gourmet event should contact the Electronic Systems Center Protocol office at 781-377-8753 for reservations.
