Minuteman Club looking for bounty hunters, new members Published Nov. 18, 2010 By Sarah Olaciregui 66th Air Base Group Public Affairs HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The club membership drive is taking place now through Dec. 31 and the 66th Force Support Squadron is offering incentives for current members -- or bounty hunters -- who want to help "capture" new members. "Obviously, current club members know and appreciate the benefits of club membership," said Capt. Joe Green, FSS commander. "We think these people will be our best ambassadors toward spreading the word and signing up new members." Current members who are in good standing may sign up at the Minuteman Club to become a bounty hunter and receive an official badge and rules. For every new member captured, the bounty hunter's name is entered in to drawings for prizes. "The more applications turned in, the better chance the bounty hunter has to win," said Captain Green. A variety of prizes are available. For example, on Sunday, Dec. 12 during Football Frenzy, the club will draw from the names of bounty hunters for a Valentine's Sweetheart Dinner for Two prize. In addition, on Dec. 22 during the Kids Night Out with Santa, a special drawing will take place for a winter fun package that includes one pair of Nashoba Tubing tickets worth $50. Members must be present to win. During the Enlisted Promotion After Party on Nov. 30, any bounty hunter that signs up a new member that night will receive one month free dues. Anyone who signs up a new member during First Friday on Dec. 3 will receive a free lunch coupon worth $8.50 for every new member application submitted on that night. "Just turning in approved applications has its advantages," said Captain Green. "Bounty hunters will receive one free month of membership for each new member who complete four months of membership." Bounty hunters that turn in three applications earn VIP status. This status allows bounty hunters to go to the front of the line when purchasing any meal at the club, sit in reserved seating at lunch, dinner, programs and club events and park in designated parking at the club throughout the membership drive. Bounty hunters that turn in five approved applications earn $25 in FSS bucks. Ten approved applications earn $150 in FSS bucks and 20 approved applications result in $500 in FSS bucks. There will also be a Spin to Win wheel set up by FSS for bounty hunters to win prizes such as coupons, FSS bucks, free games of bowling or golf, additional three free months of club membership or a chance to pick a prize. The wheel will be available during the Enlisted Promotion After Party on Nov. 30 and other times throughout the drive. "Although bounty hunters have a lot of chances to win, new members can enjoy prizes, as well," Captain Green said. Throughout the membership drive, there will be a "Join the Posse" table set up in the lobby of the club at lunch and during other events so those interested may learn more about the benefits of membership. Those who sign up to become club members will receive three months of free dues and two free lunches at the club. On top of that, new members can also become bounty hunters. During the Kids Night Out with Santa on Dec. 22, not only bounty hunters, but also new members that are present will be entered in the drawing for Nashoba Tubing tickets.
