The 2010 Combined Federal Campaign is in its first full week and unit representatives have been busy making sure all federal employees are aware that they can contribute to the government's sole annual charity drive now through Nov. 17

"Our unit representatives are hard at work to make sure we can meet the base's goal to raise $245,000," said Capt. Dave Alpar, CFC installation manager. "The real goal is to make sure everyone is at least given to opportunity contribute."

The CFC, which was established in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, offers the opportunity to donate to more than 2,000 local and international charities that represent a variety of issues and concerns. Employees have the option of making a one-time contribution or a payroll deduction.

The one-time contribution can be accomplished by filling out a pledge card. The payroll deduction method can be completed by filling out a pledge card or going online at www.easternmasscfc.org and clicking on "Pledge Now."

For more information or to make a donation to Hanscom's CFC, contact the appropriate unit representative.
