Lt. Gen. Bowlds to retire, Maj. Gen. Davis nominated

The Air Force announced Sept. 22 that Lt. Gen. Ted Bowlds, Electronic Systems Center commander and program executive officer for command and control and combat support, will retire.

Maj. Gen. Charles R. Davis has been nominated for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and to replace General Bowlds as ESC commander. General Davis is currently the Air Armament Center commander and Air Force program executive officer for weapons at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

No date has yet been announced for the retirement or ESC change of command.
