Personnel who usually enter Hanscom through the Hartwell Gate should make alternate plans to gain entry to the base next week. Beginning at 10 p.m. on Aug. 4 and lasting until 6 a.m. on Aug. 9 the Hartwell Gate will be closed for construction.

During this time, Hartwell Gate users are asked to access the base using the Marrett Street Gate via Interstate 95 to Exit 30B, Route 2A West. This gate will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the dates the Hartwell Gate is closed.

From Aug. 4 through 9, the Vandenberg Gate will serve as the 24 hour access gate to Hanscom.

On Aug. 28 and 29, the Hartwell Gate will close again to finish paving repairs. Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes accordingly.

All projects are weather dependent. For up-to-date information on construction projects throughout the base, visit the News Briefs section of the Hansconian or click on the Paving Projects spotlight on www.hanscom.af.mil.
