More than 30 Hanscom personnel who have been deployed over the past six months and their families will be honored next Friday during the Heroes Homecoming celebration in Memorial Park, behind the clinic.

The pep rally style event will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m., immediately followed by Summer Bash. Rides, booths, food and beverage stations will open at around 4 p.m. and attendees will enjoy music from disc jockey Bob Caldeira.

From 5 to 6:30 p.m., Lansdowne, a Boston-based rock, alternative pop band that has traveled throughout the world with Armed Forces Entertainment, will take the stage.

At 5:45 there will be a Kenpo Karate demonstration. At 6:30 juggler Peter Panic will entertain audiences. From 7:30 to 8 p.m. children and adults of all ages can take part in a DJ sing along.

At 8 p.m. the Band of Liberty's Afterburner will take the stage to entertain audiences with rock music. Amusement rides and food and beverage stations will close shortly thereafter and fireworks will begin a 9 p.m.

Hanscom personnel should keep in mind that some offices may close early for Summer Bash festivities, so please plan accordingly.
