ESC to recognize 2009's top performers during March 4 banquet

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. --  Chief Master Sergeant Eric R. Jaren, Air Force Materiel Command's command chief, will be the guest speaker March 4 as Electronic Systems Center recognizes its top performers for 2009 during the ESC Annual Awards Banquet at Hanscom's Minuteman Club.

Fifty of the Center's top performers from ESC's five wings and Center staff have been nominated in nine award categories, having already won their organization's annual honors. Categories include Airman, NCO, Senior NCO, Company Grade Officer, Field Grade Officer , Junior Grade Civilian, Mid-Grade Civilian, Senior-Grade Civilian and First Sergeant of the year. Additionally, ESC will recognize its Individual Mobilization Augmentees of 2009 during the banquet.

Theme for the banquet is "Achieving the Impossible."The Band of Liberty's rock combo, Afterburner, will perform during the event. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., and dinner follows at 7 p.m.

Menu for the event includes grilled steak tips and chicken fried steak with grilled vegetables and rice pilaf.

Limited tickets will be on sale Feb. 22. Tickets are $35 for E-7 and GS-09 or above, and $25 for E-6 and GS-08 and below. Club members get a $2 discount. Each organization has a representative selling tickets.
