The Combined Federal Campaign, the federal government's sole annual charity drive, is underway on Hanscom and will run through Nov. 13. The CFC, which was established in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, offers the opportunity to donate to more than 2000 local and international charities that represent a variety of issues and concerns.

For this year's campaign, Hanscom has a goal to raise $244,000. There are three methods provided for employees to participate in the campaign. Individuals can make one-time donations in cash or online at www.cfceasternmass.org. Contributions can also be made through the payroll deduction system. This allows the employee to select a dollar amount to be taken out of their paycheck every pay period, and support their charity throughout the year. Also, by contributing using the payroll deduction system, employees have a tracking system when it comes time to prepare their taxes. Donations are tax deductible.

For more information or to make a donation to Hanscom's CFC, contact the appropriate unit representative.
