Hanscom's new commuter web site is a valuable tool for employees looking to ease the stress of their daily commute and save money.

The new Commuter eboard Web site is available to employees through the ESC Centernet quick links section. Once there employees can access information on such things as shuttle services, Transportation Incentive Program, Compressed Work Schedule, Telework Program, MBTA Bus Service, Bicycling to work, MassRIDES, Emergency Ride Home Program and the Hanscom RIDES program.

For employees that live in the Nashua, New Hampshire area information can be found on the site for TransAction Corporate Shuttle service that operates a corporate shuttle Monday through Friday between Hanscom and the Park and Ride facility at exit 5W off Route 3 on Route 111 in Nashua.

The shuttles depart at 6 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. with arrivals at Hanscom at approximately 6:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively. Riders are dropped off and picked up at a location convenient to their work site. Afternoon return shuttles depart at 4 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

The cost of the daily shuttle service is $200 per month, which translates to a free ride for employees eligible for the Transportation Incentive Program. The Transportation Incentive Program is open to military members and DoD Federal employees, including non appropriated fund employees.

"The program provides financial incentives to encourage commuting by public transportation and qualified van pools," said Greg Cravedi with the Environmental Management Office, environmental specialist.

"Employees enrolled in the program can receive up to $230.00 per month in transportation vouchers that are distributed on a quarterly basis. Public transportation costs such as bus, train, subway, shuttle service and van pool fees qualify for the program."

The TransAction Corporate Shuttle service is open to all Hanscom employees.

"Employees can avoid the stress of driving, wear and tear on their vehicles, do their part for the environment and do it all for free. That's really hard to beat," said Ed Weiner, TransAction Corporate Shuttles.

TransAction Corporate Shuttles has added a 10-day ride booklet, available for $120.00 for employees who may not be able to utilize the shuttle every day due to frequent TDYs or scheduling conflicts.

Additional information about signing up for the Nashua shuttle service can be obtained by contacting Ed Weiner at (781) 895-1100.
