They can also use these media to help keep their neighbors and colleagues informed. Hanscom's public web site contains links to several base organizations including the Electronic Systems Center's Staff Judge Advocate Legal Assistance Office, the Base Exchange and Lincoln Public Schools. These web sites provide information such as locations, telephone numbers and customer service hours. The base's public web site also features stories about Hanscom people and events published by the 66th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office. Although the web site will be undergo an upgrade later this month to incorporate the Air Force's standard format for public web sites, the address will remain the same: www.hanscom.af.mil. Many of the stories published online are also printed in the base newspaper, The Hansconian. The newspaper is produced weekly by a commercial publisher, Community Newspaper Company, and is distributed at various locations on base free of charge. Members of the Hanscom community are encouraged to contribute ideas and stories for publication on the web site and in The Hansconian. The Public Affairs office is always looking for news about the base and the people living and working here. Hanscom community members can continue to view upcoming events on base through the 66th Force Support Squadron's web site: www.hanscomservices.com. This site, formerly devoted to 66th Air Base Wing Services Squadron facilities, will be maintained and continually updated throughout the transition to the new FSS organizational structure. The site includes an interactive calendar of programs and events hosted by various on-base organizations such as the Minuteman Club, the Youth Center and the Fitness and Sports Center. The FSS also publishes Leisure Times, a monthly brochure featuring special events and discounts available on base. Copies of the brochure are available free of charge at most FSS facilities.
